6cyclemind - Soupstar Entertainment Inc.

Tutti Caringal (vocals), Rye Sarmiento (guitars), Herbert Hernandez (guitars), Bob Cañamo (bass), Vic Aquino (drums), Darwin Hernandez (songwriter / manager)

6cyclemind’s music is what we could label as “alternative/pop crossover”, basically the fusion of alternative music and pop music. They write songs conveying positive themes with the hope of alleviating our plight in these difficult times.

They are the band that brought the young generation’s numerous hits such as Sandalan, Sige, Trip, Magsasaya, Kasalanan and Kung Wala na nga among others. They have released six albums with one being a cover album of their favorite songs entitled “Home”. This featured their popular versions of Prinsesa, Upside Down and many more.

6CYCLEMIND may have only five members visible when performing but behind the public’s eye is a sixth member, Darwin, who collaborates in the music writing process and also acts as the band’s manager. The music that 6cyclemind creates is a result of each of the six members ideas combined into one.

Through more than 10 years of the band’s existence, they have made a name for themselves and have gained the respect of their fellow artists in the music industry and the general public as well.

They have worked with notable artists on some of their songs/albums such as Ultraelectromagneticjam! The Music of the Eraserheads compilation singing their verison of Alapaap, Hopia Mani Popcorn: The Best of Manila Sound compilation with their version ofBonngahan, Umaasa with Francis Magalona, Kung WalangNga with YengConstantino and Kean Cipriano, Kasalanan with Gloc9, and their album Good by Sunday produced by Raimund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala of The Eraserheads.

Some of the country’s leading giants in different industries have entrusted their brand to the band by making 6cyclemind one of their brand endorsers. The band has worked with Tanduay, the country’s leading rhum makers, top billing their Tanduay First Five campaign through their songs “Sige” and “Trip”, their single “Saludo” also became the theme of the campaign for Filipino athletes by SMART Telecoms, one of the biggest telecoms company in the country. 6cyclemind has also worked with Suzuki for two straight years in the Suzuki Invasion Tour which allowed the band to be on the road for live shows in key cities and provinces throughout the country.

Minders (6cyclemind fans) can expect nothing but the best from the band. Tutti, one of 2010’s Cosmo’s hot bachelors, never fails to bring the house down during live gigs with his contagious energy and broader popularity due to his more frequent TV and movie appearances (hosting stint in ABS CBN’s Music Uplate Live! with Yeng Constantino, acting roles in movies “Praybeyt Benjamin” with Vice Ganda among others, mentoring role in ABS CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime!”, former regular performer in ABS CBN’s top rating Sunday noontime show “ASAP”, and most recently as the Chief Rockstar in the top rating show in ABSCBN entitled “Your Face Sounds Familiar”. The undeniable chemistry among Tutti, Rye, Bob, Vic and Bert onstage works and it continuously endears them to their fans. As an effect, they hone their live shows even further, rearranging old material and coming up with onstage moves to complement the band’s more engaging performance style.

Moreover, a new set of songs from their latest album, Good By Sunday with singles Basta Ako, Pangako and Good by Sunday, add to their repertoire of sure-fire hits during performances. Through their new album, 6cyclemind has yet again proven that they are not just a band but a brand that produces great music.

The band was part of the soundtrack of one of Star Cinema’s biggest movie last year called “The Reunion”. The soundtrack was produced by fellow Soupstar artist “Big Band Syndicate” which featured an all-Eraserheads tracklist. They interpreted the song “Alapaap” and also appeared in the actual movie performing the song alongside the movie’s main cast.

In 2015, 6cyclemind was back with “Lunod” still under the Good By Sunday album – a new single that emphasizes the band’s branding. Their unique music video features a short serye within it which stars Ms. Bangs Garcia.

This 2017, the band released a single entitled “Di Na Atin” which featured a duet with one of Tutti’s close friends, Karla Estrada. The song is currently enjoying good airplay and is in the MYX charts. The song is distributed digitally under Warner Music.

Now, the band is known as one of the top live acts in the country. They are busy headlining an exciting nationwide tour for San Miguel beer. They also continue to perform in different corporate and social events throughout Manila and the rest of the country. Watch out for more music from 6cyclemind!
