The most awaited annual event “Rock Back To School” by Redlines Productions Entertainment has began to invade campuses for this year. For the last eight years, they’ve been visiting different schools and universities to showcase remarkable Filipino music and welcome back the students to the new school year – for FREE!
The first leg happened last July 13, 2018, Friday at STI Caloocan. There were five bands that performed for the event namely; Better Days, one of the newest and hottest band in town and who also celebrated their 1st year anniversary yesterday, July 17, 2018 at 70’s Bistro. They were then followed by ViiXi, Stellar and Hilera. Last but not the least was the main act which was Sandwich, which also celebrates their 20th anniversary last April 13, 2018. The crowd was surprised during the performance of Hilera when Raymund Marasigan (Vocalist of Sandwich) joined them and reunited with Buddy Zabala (Hilera’s bassist) and sang their Eraserheads’ hit “Pare Ko”. Aside from the five bands, there were also students from STI Caloocan who showcased their talents – the CSG band and Break the Rules dance group.
Despite the temperamental weather, event-goers had a lot of fun with different booths and games aside from the concert. Over-all, the event was a big success.
