Raymund Marasigan chanced upon a news article where Ice Seguerra observed that there is too much talk about our individual differences that we sometimes forget our basic similarities as human beings.
This is what inspired Raymund to write “Koloring Book”, the latest single from one of Manila’s premier rock bands Sandwich. The song pretty much wrote itself and Raymund decided to ask Ice to sing it. To his delight Ice agreed to the unlikely collaboration.
A few weeks later the band entered Kodama studios to flesh out an angular dynamic arrangement with engineer Shinji Tanaka dialling in the sounds. Then on the eve of his birthday, Ice came in to sing on the single with Buddy Zabala on vocals production duties.
To complete the visuals for the new single the band called in their good friend, artist Nix Puno. Raymund shot Puno as he created artwork inspired by the song. This is what appears on the song’s video.
“Koloring Book” is now available on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer and Amazon.
