This is a surprise offering of Gracenote in collaboration with BBS, released under Soupstar Music. The song was inspired by Gracenote and BBS love for Korean drama. Specifically, the series which the song’s namesake was unique, entertaining, cinematic, and touching that Darwin Hernandez (1/2 of BBS) was moved to write the song. Through this song, Gracenote x BBS wants to let their fans know that It’s Okay to not be Okay especially during these difficult times. We just need to be genuinely there for each other. Eunice Jorge (on vocals) says, “Through this song, we hope the listeners feel yung yakap at comfort kahit papano.” EJ (on drums) adds “The song talks about honesty … honesty with your emotions. Let tears fall if you have to. Acknowledging your weakness will make you even stronger.”
The song features an upbeat vibe that aims to lighten the mood of the listeners. This is the second song that bassist Jazz Jorge’s vocals was featured as follow up to “Baso at Bote”. Talking about his experience being the main vocals for this song, Jazz says: “The thought of me representing the band again as the main vocals, scares me to the bone. But I enjoyed the process of creating the entirety of the song. To experience the brilliance of one of the best songwriters I know is already one for the books. I definitely learned a lot from the songwriter himself, Sir Darwin Hernandez (BBS) and my sister, Eunice (producer). They guided me all throughout to really make this execution smooth.”
