“You reap what you sow” – this is what Banda Ni Kleggy sings about in their latest release “Halaman”. When you sow fear, injustice and oppression to others, you are most likely to reap resentment from them. And this resentment, watered over time, can bring out a revolution – hopefully a change for the better. It is through this song that Banda Ni Kleggy calls out that there needs to have a better world. All these symbolic lyrics combined with a melodic rhythm will make “Halaman” grow on you.
The track is the second single of the band’s upcoming EP to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The EP’s lead single, “Bathala,” was released last February. Banda ni Kleggy has released two albums in the past (Only in the Philippines, Mandirigma ng Pag-ibig) with songs such as “Discolamon,” “Pabili Po,” “Pare-pareho.”
