Multi-awarded pop alternative Filipino band Moonstar88 performs an intimate gig last August 17, 2023 at the Backspacer Records in Pasig City. They also had the chance to sign fans’ copies of their latest vinyl album “Lourdes 2088”.
“Lourdes 2088” is the band’s first album release in ten years and this is also their first ever vinyl release in collaboration with The Grey Market Records and Backspacer Records. Led by singles “Next Week” and “Parola”, Lourdes 2088 also features eight other tracks. The album plays with the idea of a dystopian future (2088) where inventions go beyond the realm of science—even heartaches have a solution in order for people to adapt. The album theme is a collaboration with Nelz Yumul and GIGIL Metama, a web 3.0 agency.
Lourdes 2088 is produced by Raymund Marasigan and bassist Buddy Zabala, and recorded, mixed, and mastered by Shinji Tanaka at Kodama Studio. It’s also available on all digital streaming platforms.
