Last September 1, 2023, young band Better Days, recording artist under Universal Records and Soupstar Music management, got to meet THE Apo Hiking Society’s Jim Parades and Boboy Garovillo in the flesh! The band comprised of Nigel Aboy (vocals and guitars), Nim Garcia (keys and backup vocals) and Raphael Resurreccion (drums) were privileged to be introduced to the OPM icons and original artist behind the song “Paano” while APO was rehearsing at Velvet Playground, the studio of Soupstar. Having done their own version of Paano, Better Days was able to let APO listen to their version of the song via Spotify on the spot! They were all in an awe-struck since what they thought was just a simple meet and greet turned out to be much more as the duo chit chatted with them up close and personal, took photos and signed some of their APO memorabilia.
Better Days version of “Paano” was released in various digital streaming platforms last May 19, 2023 and has since then reached more than 100k streams and was featured under Spotify’s Pinoy Covers at fourth spot.
