HEY JUNE! just surprised fans at midnight by dropping their new single, “Kung May Problema Ka.” The surprise release comes today, June 1, as the band celebrates their 5th anniversary this month.
The song is all about people having a hard time communicating, to the point that it bothers you and overthink the situation. It’s for those people who ask the question, “May mali ba o problema na nangyari?”
The track was written by the band’s vocalist and guitarist, Jim Mase, who drew from personal experience. “I’ve met someone that made me feel like they were hard to get along with,” Jim shares. And I think that others share this experience once or more in our lives. “And for a long time I wanted to write a song that felt heavy, that carries weight not just instrumentally but also lyrically. So that feeling sparked the whole idea of the song.”
This is the third single for their upcoming sophomore album releasing this year, following their previous songs “Sabihin Mo Lang” and “Pagmamahal.”
“Kung May Problema Ka” is available now on all streaming platforms.
To celebrate five years of music and memories, HEY JUNE! is teasing even bigger things on the horizon. Fans are strictly advised to mark their calendars and save the date for June 20, 2026. While details are still tightly under wraps, something massive is coming.
