The OPM veterans bring generations of listeners together for a landmark anniversary celebration filled with hits and special collaborations
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino pop-rock band 6cyclemind celebrated 25 years of churning nonstop hits with a special homecoming concert held at Eton Centris Activity Center in Quezon City on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The 25th anniversary concert was a fitting celebration for the band. Their generation-defining anthems have remained integral to the Filipino listening experience for decades, outlasting the changing music industry and lineup changes along the way.
The show took off on a high-octane starter with “Magsasaya,” which set the tone for celebration and nostalgia and got the crowd in a massive sing-along, thanks to the familiar favorites including “Paba,” “Biglaan,” “Prinsesa,” “Pangako,” “Basta Ako,” and “No Rewind.”
The concert kept the momentum going with a string of exciting collaborations highlighting their cross-generational appeal. Rye Sarmiento took over the vocal duties on “Gaya Ng Noon,” while Bino of Sunkissed Lola appeared for “I” and collaborated with the band on the latter’s massive streaming hit, “Pasilyo.”
The Dawn’s Jet Pangan brought his undeniable star power to “Upside Down” and “Iisang Bangka Tayo,” drawing wild cheers from attendees. Pop superstar Gigi De Lana also joined the band for “Bonggahan” and “Sige,” with the latter also featuring surprise guest Chuck Isidro, a former 6cyclemind member and producer of the band’s forthcoming album.
The set also teased fans with what’s to come in their upcoming releases. 6cyclemind performed new material from their upcoming album slated for release this year, including “Hithit Buga,” “Di Na Babalik,” “Nagbago,” and “Huling Pagkakataon.” They also played the anthems that soundtrack every Filipino at some point in their lives: “Kung Wala Na Nga,” “Alapaap,” “Kasalanan,” “Trip,” and “Sandalan.”
Even the rains could not dampen the celebration. As showers fell over the venue, concertgoers stayed on to sing along, dance, and enjoy 6cyclemind’s anniversary set, turning the weather into another memorable part of a night defined by music and unwavering support.
The anniversary celebration also gave fans opportunities to join special activities designed to keep them engaged and excited from start to finish. The first 100 attendees received exclusive 6cyclemind anniversary shirts and joined a meet-and-greet session with the band. A videoke contest invited fans to put their own spin on OPM favorites, with the highest scorer taking home a cash prize.
In a press statement, the band described the celebration as a gesture of gratitude and humility to fans, brands, and the management team who have stood by them through the years and different seasons of their music career.
“We are very thankful sa lahat na nandyan pa rin para sa amin: from our management, fans, and brands that continue to support us. Andito na kami sa age na we are enjoying the fruits of our labor. We are lucky and grateful na, sa dami ng nangyari sa banda, natawid namin lahat ng ’to.”
From bar gigs and small events to festivals, provincial shows, corporate performances, and stages across the country, 6cyclemind has continued to perform and evolve while keeping its core identity intact. Their musical journey has always been defined by persistence and hard work. And their songs—impactful, heartfelt, and always delivered with passionate performances—have brought joy to countless Filipinos here and abroad who yearn for a place or person they can call home.
As the band moves forward with a new album produced by Chuck Isidro, its next chapter carries the same spirit that has sustained 6cyclemind for 25 years.
“The excitement is always there. … Para pa din kaming bago na nag-promote ng kanta namin to a new audience,” says manager and 6th member Darwin Hernandez.
Twenty-five years on, the band continues to write, perform, and connect, carrying its music from one generation to the next and solidifying its place among the pantheon of pop-rock greats.
