Moonstar88 celebrated the launch of their latest album, Habambuhay, with a memorable night of music and gratitude alongside their fans, the Moonstareros, at Backyard Live.
The night opened with a special performance by Jenzen Guino, setting the mood for an evening filled with music and celebration.
The band performed 10 songs during the album launch, including their well-loved hits “Torete,” “Migraine,” and “Sulat,” as well as tracks from their new album. Habambuhay Album features previously released singles “Goma,” “Kape Tayo,” “Ding Dong,” and “Sydney,” their fourth single release alongside “Pareho,” “Basta Gawin Mo ang Lahat,” and the album’s title track, “Habambuhay.”
The night became even more special as Jazz Jorge of Gracenote, Nigel Aboy and Nim Garcia of Better Days joined Moonstar88 onstage, while the Arioso String Quartet accompanied the band in performing their hit songs, bringing a different musical experience to the audience.
They also acknowledged the people working behind the scenes, including the Soupstar Music, EMI Records Philippines, the press, and Backyard Live. The band was beyond grateful to God for making the celebration possible.
More than just an album launch, the event was a celebration of Moonstar88’s enduring connection with their listeners and everyone who has been part of their musical journey.
